Through my current role I collaborated with Tootoomoo, a pan-Asian restaurant brand, to design packaging for three new food-to-go products launched in Sainsbury’s: two Japanese-style sandos and a pulled pork bánh mì.
Working in conjunction with the brand team and under established Tootoomoo brand guidelines, I was responsible for translating their vibrant, modern identity into a bold and functional packaging solution suitable for a retail environment.
The brief focused on creating packaging that would:
Reflect Tootoomoo’s playful and energetic pan-Asian aesthetic
Stand out on shelf within Sainsbury’s food-to-go section
Clearly communicate product flavour, freshness, and quality
Align with technical constraints including sustainability, print finishes, and legibility
Each pack was designed to reinforce Tootoomoo’s visual language while ensuring practicality for both consumers and in-store logistics. The final designs supported the brand’s continued retail expansion and contributed to its growing visibility in mainstream grocery.
